The summer has come to an end and my work schedule has allowed me more time in the ceramic studio. Also, then end of gardening season means I can spend the time now preparing vases for next summer's harvest.
Coming back to the honey pot shape - focusing on the roundness of the pots bellies. These will be glazed with honey flux glaze to highlight the movement in the throwing lines. This glaze while being in the white glaze family, has a warmth to it. In being limited to mid-fired oxidized firings, I have found this glaze to have the depth I seek.
